Robert Bowles, Jr., registered
pharmacist and owner of Big C, is a 1970 graduate of the University
of Georgia School of Pharmacy. In addition to his thirty-seven
years of pharmacy experience, Robert has fourteen years of experience
in clinical pharmacy consulting. He is also an adjunct faculty
preceptor for Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in
Atlanta, Georgia.
Robert was recently elected Second Vice President of the Georgia
Pharmacy Association. Robert has focused his attention in the area
of diabetes care and is credentialed in Diabetes Disease State
Management by the National Association Boards of Pharmacy. He
has been honored with several awards including the 2001 Pfizer
Visionary Leadership Award, the 2001 Thomaston-Upson Chamber of
Commerce Small Business of the Year Award, the 2003 GPhA Independent
Pharmacist of the Year Award, and the 2003 GPhA Innovative Practice
Award. Robert is an active member and Deacon at First Baptist
Church, Thomaston. He and his wife Judy have been married
for 37 years and have three grown children, one grandson, and a
granddaughter on the way.
